Directly across the river from Laughlin is Bullhead City, Arizona, which is four times the population of Laughlin. Laughlin is the third most visited casino and resort destination in the state after Las Vegas and Reno, and is one of the top 5 destinations for American RV enthusiasts. Laughlin is more family oriented with more outdoor and family activities than at Las Vegas or Reno.
The Talent Quest National Finals is held here the third week of September and the Laughlin River Run also known as the "West Coast's Largest Motorcycle Event On The Banks Of The Colorado River", is held each spring, usually in late April.
